(KRON) — Hearth officers mentioned two individuals are displaced and a cat has perished after a Friday afternoon blaze at a Santa Rosa residence.

The Santa Rosa Hearth Division mentioned crews responded to the 300 block of Wren Drive at 1:47 p.m., simply minutes after receiving a number of 911 calls reporting a house on hearth. Officers mentioned when crews arrived on the scene, they discovered a “well-established interior fire extending to the exterior on multiple sides of the structure.”

Officers mentioned there was one individual inside the house, however they had been in a position to escape unhurt. Firefighters used ladders to get to the roof and minimize a gap to assist launch smoke.

Santa Rosa Hearth confirmed the blaze destroyed the lounge and kitchen and there was reasonable smoke harm to the bedrooms and the home-owner’s belongings.
