2 Sonoma County males busted for alleged drug dealing in Marin

(BCN) — Two Sonoma County males had been arrested this week on suspicion of dealing cocaine, the Marin County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned Saturday.

Beginning in November, an undercover detective with the Marin Sheriff’s Workplace was allegedly approached by a person who supplied to promote him cocaine. The detective developed a relationship with the suspect and he and one other undercover officer started buying cocaine from him “on numerous occasions,” the Sheriff’s Workplace alleges.

The suspect, recognized as Esteban Barahona, then allegedly started supplying one of many detectives with bigger portions of cocaine and introduced one other suspect into the scenario, recognized as Erik Garcia. Detectives allege Garcia was supplying cocaine to Barahona to promote to the detectives.

Working in tandem with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Workplace, a search of Barahona and Garcia’s residences in Petaluma and Sonoma was carried out on Tuesday and detectives allegedly uncovered over 1 / 4 pound of cocaine, over a half pound of methamphetamine, two firearms, ammunition and over $5,000 money.

Investigators allege that a number of the cash positioned at Garcia’s residence was linked to the undercover purchase operations carried out by the Marin detectives. Moreover, Garcia is a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition.

Garcia and Barahona had been booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of narcotics and weapons associated offenses.
