Bay Area SDA Colleges to Close Thursday in Response to Butte County Shooting Incident

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (KRON) – All Northern California california-leaders-and-community-respond-to-controversial-photos-at-spiritual-retreat/” title=”… Leaders and Community Respond to Controversial Photos at Spiritual Retreat”>colleges affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA) will likely be closed on Thursday after a capturing at a college in Butte County, the church introduced. Two kindergarteners have been injured within the capturing, and the suspected shooter took his personal life.

“Our students, faculty, and staff at Feather River have been reunited with their families. Two of our students are being treated for their injuries. Join us as we lift up these children and their families in prayer. On Thursday, the Northern California Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will close its schools to allow everyone to spend time with their families,” Kevin Lampe with SDA mentioned.

There was no police presence at Mountain View Academy Wednesday evening, however Mountain View police say they are going to be offering additional safety.

It’s one in all a number of colleges within the Bay Space operated by the Seventh Day Adventist Church – identical to the one the place a college capturing left two younger college students critically injured in Butte County.

Together with the statewide alert, Gov.Gavin Newsom put out a press release expressing his condolences.

“Once again, a community is shattered by senseless gun violence,” he mentioned partially.
