San Mateo police referred to as to Macy's twice in 1 day for alleged thefts

(BCN) — San Mateo officers arrested two individuals on two separate requires alleged thefts at Macy’s within the Hillsdale Buying Heart earlier this week, in keeping with police.

The primary name for police got here simply after 4 p.m. Tuesday, when 19-year-old San Mateo resident Jose Duarte-Umul was stopped by retailer safety for allegedly taking on $500 value of merchandise from the shop.

Duarte-Umul reportedly fought with the shop’s safety outdoors the shop earlier than officers arrived. He was taken into custody on allegations of second-degree theft.

Officers have been referred to as again to Macy’s a number of hours later, at about 7 p.m., when a 41-year-old San Francisco resident, Christopher Boyle, was accused of taking on $1,200 value of products from the shop. He’s dealing with allegations of organized retail theft.

Each have been booked into San Mateo County Jail.
