Santa Rosa parking officer writing ticket struck in hit-and-run

(BCN) — A parking enforcement officer in Santa Rosa was injured Thursday afternoon after he was allegedly hit by the motive force of a van who turned upset a few quotation, authorities stated.

At 1:15 p.m., the parking officer was writing a quotation for a white Ford van with a trailer that was blocking a number of automobiles on the Lot 4 metropolis parking storage, Santa Rosa police stated.

“The driver of the van had returned to the location and became upset with the officer and tried to drive off, hitting the parking enforcement officer in the process,” police stated in a information launch.When police responded, the sufferer described the suspect as a person in his 40s, sporting a hat, who had a canine with him within the van. The van had Ohio license plates.

A short while later, surveillance cameras picked up the van within the car parking zone of a House Depot retailer in Rohnert Park.

Officers discovered the suspect as he left the shop, and he was later recognized as Vincent Kimber, 35, of Oregon. He was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run inflicting damage. He was booked on the Sonoma County Jail.

The parking officer had minor accidents and was handled and launched at a hospital.
