Former San Mateo County Jail Guard Faces Sentencing: What’s Next?

(KRON) — A former San Mateo County jail guard is slated to be sentenced on Friday for sexually abusing a nine-year-old lady.

Joel Olazabal Gudino, 31, is locked in the identical jail the place he beforehand labored as a correctional officer for the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Workplace. He was convicted by a jury in March of forcible lewd acts on a toddler and contacting a minor to solicit a lewd act.

Gudino was a household pal and neighbor of the sufferer’s household. He beforehand babysat the lady and her youthful brother. Prosecutors mentioned he molested the lady between 2012-2015, and he was employed by the sheriff’s workplace in 2016.
