SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A 5.6-magnitude earthquake that struck Nevada on Monday afternoon was felt within the Bay Space. It was the second quake in latest days to be felt within the space.
The epicenter of the earthquake is simply northeast of Yerington, Nev. The world is instantly east of Lake Tahoe.
Gentle shaking was felt in areas together with San Francisco, Oakland and San Mateo after the earthquake struck at 3:08 p.m., based on the USA Geological Survey.

A collection of aftershocks adopted the earthquake with magnitudes measuring as excessive as 3.3, per the USGS.
On Thursday, Dec. 5, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck in Humboldt County, which additionally brought on shaking within the Bay Space. It briefly triggered a tsunami warning, which was ultimately lifted.
There have been no stories of native injury from Monday’s quake.
