Berkeley PD touts early success of license plate readers

(KRON) — An introductory interval of Berkeley’s automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras that started Oct. 1 netted a dozen arrests and the restoration of 9 stolen automobiles, based on the Berkeley Police Division.
