Tip by SFPD helped FBI catch UnitedHealth CEO taking pictures suspect Luigi Mangione

(KRON) — The San Francisco Police Division despatched a tip that helped the FBI determine the person suspected of killing the CEO of UnitedHealth, the FBI confirmed Friday.

The tip was “regarding the possible identity of the suspect.” The FBI referred the tip, together with different leads, to the New York Police Division.

A citizen finally acknowledged the suspect in Altoona, Penn., the place he was arrested. He was recognized as 26-year-old Luigi Mangione.

The FBI didn’t share any particular details about the tip acquired by SFPD.

Mangione has some connections to the Bay Space — a person named Luigi Mangione was employed by Stanford for a number of months in 2019.

Mangione is at the moment in custody on suspicion of killing UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson in Midtown Manhattan.
