San Jose Man Caught Using Social Media to Promote Ghost Weapons

(KRON) — A 19-year-old San Jose man who allegedly manufactured ghost weapons and used social media to promote them was arrested final week, the San Jose Police Division introduced. SJPD stated detectives with the division’s Gun and Hazardous Suppression Crew (GHOST) found a social media account on October 30 getting used to purchase and promote unlawful firearms.

GHOST detectives investigated the account and recognized the suspect as Lucien Cabrera. Lots of the firearms, in keeping with police, have been privately made firearms, generally referred to as ghost weapons. Cabrera, police stated, was additionally importing high-capacity magazines from Florida and Nevada to promote in San Jose.

Cabrera was situated in San Jose by SJPD detectives and arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 18. The SJPD MERGE Unit, Violent Crimes Enforcement Crew (VCET), METRO Unit, Gang Investigation Unit (GIU) and Assaults Unit supplied help with the arrest.

He was booked into Santa Clara County Foremost Jail for crimes together with possession of unlawful firearms, manufacturing and promoting unlawful firearms, and discharging a firearm in a faculty zone.
