State seizes over $23M in unlawful hashish in East Oakland

(KRON) — Over $23 million price of unlawful hashish was not too long ago seized in East Oakland, in response to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s workplace. The illegally cultivated hashish was seized by the California Unified Hashish Enforcement Taskforce (UCEFT).

Gov. Newsom created UCEFT in 2022. Since then, the taskforce has seized and destroyed over 162 tons of unlawful hashish with an estimated worth of $536 million by over 350 operations. UCEFT has additionally eradicated 526,037 vegetation, seized 167 firearms, and arrested 59 folks.
