(KRON) — A motorcyclist was arrested after main Sonoma County Sheriff’s Workplace deputies on a chase that exceeded 100 miles per hour on Sunday, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned.

A deputy tried to cease the bike with no license plate at about 4:15 a.m. within the space of Freeway 101 and Faculty Avenue. The motive force fled northbound on Freeway 101.

The rider tried to cover behind a parked automobile however was situated and arrested by Windsor deputies. He was recognized as 23-year-old Omar Martinez.

The sheriff’s workplace credited the helicopter for permitting it to pursue Martinez from a distance, which it says reduces the chance of high-speed chases ending in crashes.
