Hillsborough police examine weekend burglaries

Hillsborough police examine weekend burglaries

(KRON) — Two houses in Hillsborough had been ransacked after burglars broke in over the weekend, in keeping with the Hillsborough Police Division.

On Saturday at 6:45 p.m., police responded to a residential alarm within the 3200 block of Ralston Avenue. Officers decided in a preliminary investigation that the suspect or suspects broke a glass door on the rear of the residence to achieve entry. The house was ransacked, and authorities stated the full worth of losses is unknown presently.

Atherton resident chases away burglar Saturday

In one other incident on Sunday simply after 6 p.m., Hillsborough officers responded to a report of a residential housebreaking within the 2500 block of Butternut Drive. Safety video from the house confirmed three unidentified burglars prying open a rear sliding glass door to get inside, police stated. The residence was ransacked, and the full loss is unknown presently.

Additional assessment of safety video recognized a 2000s mannequin white Jeep Cherokee that’s linked to the housebreaking suspects, in keeping with Hillsborough PD. The Jeep had a stolen license plate belonging to a different automobile, police stated.

The white Jeep was seen on video “dropping off the suspects, circling the neighborhood, and returning approximately 15 minutes later to pick them up,” authorities stated.
