Vigil held for 3 Hollister teenagers killed in Gilroy crash: 'I want I may give them a hug another time'

(KRON) — Household and buddies gathered Saturday night time at Legacy Church in Hollister to honor the lives of three younger males who tragically died in a head-on collision Tuesday night on Shore Highway on the outskirts of Gilroy.

Seventeen-year-olds Anzhel Villegas-Lemus and Victor Lujan, together with 18-year-old Brandon Alarcon, have been remembered in an emotional vigil. Their family members, devastated by the loss, held prayer candles of their reminiscence.

“These were really my brothers—like family. The bond we had wasn’t like any other friendship I’ve ever had,” stated pal Alfredo Viveros. “I had their back; they had my back. If I had problems, I knew I could count on them for a ride, for some food, for a place to stay.”

Three teenagers killed in Gilroy crash recognized

The vigil was full of heartfelt tales from these closest to the teenagers, highlighting the straightforward moments they cherished collectively. Pals recalled their time collectively, from taking part in pranks with BB weapons to celebrating Thanksgiving as a household.

As they grieve, buddies stated the loss feels surreal, with many revisiting previous textual content messages in disbelief.

“All I’ve been doing is studying previous messages,” said Viveros. “It appears like they’re there and right here with me, however I simply can’t see them.”

To honor their reminiscence, t-shirts have been made and distributed by one of many victims’ moms to their closest buddies.

“I really like them, and I miss them so much,” said friend Emmanuel Aleman. “I want I may like dab them up another time, give them a hug another time, sleep over another time.”

Household and buddies stated they’re specializing in therapeutic from the good lack of these “three beautiful souls” taken too quickly.
