Antioch metropolis lawyer resigns after 6 years in place

(BCN) — Antioch Metropolis Legal professional Thomas Lloyd Smith has resigned, metropolis officers introduced Tuesday morning.

Derek Cole, of the regulation agency Cole Huber LLP, will function the interim metropolis lawyer till a everlasting metropolis lawyer is appointed.

“The City Council would like to express its gratitude to Mr. Smith for his service and dedication to our city over the past five and a half years and wish him well in his future endeavors,” town stated in a press release.

The council employed Smith in February 2019 and his retirement was efficient this previous Friday. Earlier than working in Antioch, Smith was assistant metropolis lawyer for San Leandro and did work for El Cerrito, Larkspur and the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District.
