(KRON) — CC Sabathia, a longtime MLB pitcher who made the baseball Corridor of Fame on Wednesday, is making a film about his hometown — Vallejo, Calif.
Sabathia’s media platform “Grapefruit Media” introduced the film on Thursday. It’s referred to as “Vallejo” and is centered round his expertise taking part in Little League baseball in Vallejo.

“From Vallejo to the Hall of Fame, CC Sabathia comes of age in a new film showcasing his incredible journey. Based on CC’s rise with the 1989 North Vallejo Little League All-Stars, this is a story about so much more than baseball – one of resilience, brotherhood, and hope,” Grapefruit Media stated.
Rapper LaRussell, a Vallejo native, will star within the film, he confirmed on social media.
“WE FINALLY GET TO SEE OUR CITY ON THE BIG SCREEN!!!! ‘VALLEJO’ coming soon,” he stated.
In response to an article by Selection, the film focuses on Sabathia and his buddies making an attempt to remain on the proper path in a metropolis that was struggling economically.
GTG Studios is partnering with Grapefruit Media to provide the movie.
Sabathia attended Vallejo Excessive Faculty and was drafted straight out of highschool by Cleveland in 1998. He pitched in MLB from 2001-2019, profitable a Cy Younger award and a World Collection title and making six all-star video games.
