SSU Athletic Program Takes Bold Stand Against CSU Board of Trustees Over Budget Cuts

(KRON) – The Sonoma State College’s Seawolves Athletics introduced Saturday that it’s making ready authorized motion to dam the California State College Board of Trustees from discontinuing the college’s athletics program.

In accordance with the Seawolves Athletics, the group was lately in a gathering the place the CSU Board of Trustees mentioned chopping the group and/or vital price range cuts. The Seawolves stated the injunction “would stop any further steps in the decision-making process by the CSU Board of Trustees and The Chancellor regarding the dismantling of SSU’s athletics department.”

“We are standing firm in our belief that these cuts are not just a financial misstep—they are an assault on the heart and soul of our university,” stated a spokesperson for Save Seawolves Athletics. “Our student-athletes have worked tirelessly to represent Sonoma State with pride, and we will continue to fight to ensure that they—and future generations of Seawolves—have a place to excel both in the classroom and on the field.”
