Santa Rosa man admits to killing father: sheriff

(KRON) — A Santa Rosa man and his mom are in custody after the previous allegedly shot his father useless on Monday, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Workplace stated. The person had assaulted his father a number of days earlier than the murder, per the sheriff’s workplace.

The suspect, 38-year-old Cody Molica, known as the sheriff’s workplace at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday to say that he shot and killed his father whereas his mom was current. The taking pictures occurred on the 4300 block of Stony Level Street.

Deputies arrested Molica exterior the home for homicide. His father, 80-year-old Richard Molica, was discovered useless on the lounge flooring with a gunshot wound.

Cody’s mom, 72-year-old Beverly Molica, was discovered by detectives in Vallejo. She was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and accent.

On Jan. 21, Cody was arrested for elder abuse after he allegedly pushed Richard down throughout an argument. He’s additionally accused of threatening to kill his dad and mom and himself through the argument.

He was launched from jail the subsequent day on circumstances together with that he couldn’t contact his father or possess firearms.

Each Cody and Beverly are being held in Sonoma County Jail with no bail.
