WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KRON) — The Louis Vuitton retailer in downtown Walnut Creek is now closed. Based on a Broadway Plaza spokesperson, the posh retailer closed after deciding to not renew its lease that led to January 2025

The spokesperson added that Louis Vuitton, which opened in the summertime of 2023, was in a “temporary location.” It’s unclear whether or not or not Louis Vuitton plans to relocate elsewhere at Broadway Plaza or the better downtown Walnut Creek space.

KRON4 visited the placement final Saturday. Louis Vuitton signage was faraway from the storefront. With the closure of the Walnut Creek retailer, three places stay within the Bay Space: San Francisco, Santa Clara and Palo Alto.

Efforts to succeed in Louis Vuitton immediately have been unsuccessful. The procuring middle didn’t present a cause for Louis Vuitton’s departure from its house at 1211 Broadway Plaza.

The Louis Vuitton retailer opened in June 2023, throughout the road from the west entrance of Nordstrom. When it opened, the posh designer model was on a shorter-term lease — though it was not specified how lengthy that lease was for.

The closure of the Louis Vuitton retailer could come as a shock to some because it seems there have been extra notable companies opening within the East Bay suburb than notable closures in the previous couple of months.

One Walnut Creek spokesperson advised KRON4 in January that town has seen “a resurgence of applications” for companies to open. Taco Bell submitted an software to open its second Walnut Creek location.

San Francisco staples, Unique Joe’s and Candy Maple, are additionally increasing with eating places to open downtown later this 12 months.
