(KRON) — One individual is in custody after an Oakland Police Division automobile was shot whereas an officer was inside early Monday morning, OPD stated. The officer was not struck.
The capturing occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on the 6000 block of Seminary Avenue. The officer was within the space investigating one other case.

A number of rounds had been fired. OPD stated “it appears that the officer may have been the intended target of the shooting.”
An arrest was made Monday afternoon, however OPD didn’t launch the suspect’s id. OPD referred to as it “assault with a deadly weapon upon an officer.”
OPD’s investigation is ongoing.
