Man kicked out of Oakland coffeehouse for sporting Star of David hat recordsdata lawsuit

(KRON) — A person seems to have been requested to depart a Palestinian-owned coffeehouse in Oakland final 12 months for sporting a Star of David hat has filed a lawsuit towards the cafe proprietor. In an incident that was partially caught on video, Jonathan Hirsch and his son had been requested to depart Jerusalem Espresso Home on Telegraph Avenue.

Finally, police arrive and ask Hirsh to step outdoors. Harara, talking into Hirsch’s digicam says, “he loves Jewish people” earlier than cursing Israel and “Zionists.”

The incident was amplified by the Jewish Neighborhood Relations Council as an incident of anti-Semitism. A number of native officers, together with Rep. Ro Khanna, former Rep. Barbara Lee and Supervisor Matt Dorsey condemned the incident.
