Police launch particulars on three lethal crashes in San Jose

Police launch particulars on three lethal crashes in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — San Jose police launched particulars on Monday about three separate, lethal site visitors accidents within the metropolis.

The latest fatality occurred round 2:18 a.m. Sunday on South White Street and Park Lane, the place a person was run over by an SUV. The pedestrian was “in the middle of the street outside of any marked crosswalk,” when a 2005 Buick SUV struck him, San Jose Police Division Sgt. Jorge Garibay wrote.

The pedestrian died on the scene. Police stated the Buick driver remained on scene and cooperated with their investigation.

The second deadly crash occurred on February 18 simply after 1:30 p.m. on Almaden Expressway and Bryan Avenue. A person driving a 2012 Infiniti sedan was rushing on Almaden Expressway when he misplaced management and his automotive side-swiped a 2015 Ford coupe, SJPD stated. The Infiniti sedan continued out-of-control throughout the freeway’s median and veered into oncoming site visitors.

The Infiniti collided head-on with a 2024 Hyundai sedan within the northbound lanes of Almaden Expressway. A girl who was driving the Hyundai sedan was handled at a hospital for accidents and he or she survived. The Infiniti driver succumbed to his accidents at a hospital and was pronounced deceased on Sunday, police stated.

The third crash unfolded at 1:39 a.m. on February 15 on Story Street at Kollmar Drive. A person was driving a 2010 Toyota sedan on Story Street when he crashed right into a tree. No different autos had been concerned within the accident, based on SJPD. The driving force died from his accidents two weeks later, police stated.

Legislation enforcement officers didn’t launch the victims’ names. There have been six lethal crashes in San Jose in 2025.
