Man arrested in reference to Tuesday I-880 capturing

(KRON) — An Oakland man was arrested in reference to a capturing that occurred on Interstate 880 on Tuesday morning, California Freeway Patrol stated.

The capturing was reported to CHP at about 7:30 a.m. on southbound I-880 simply north of sixteenth Avenue. The sufferer was not injured and returned to their house.

Officers discovered the suspect could have been driving within the sufferer’s neighborhood. The Oakland Police Division responded to the world and located the suspect automotive parked and empty, CHP stated.

CHP investigates attainable capturing on Freeway 24 in Orinda

Finally, two folks entered the automotive and have been detained. CHP decided that a kind of folks was the suspected shooter, 19-year-old Jonathan Julian Barragan Padilla.

Padilla was arrested for tried homicide, capturing at an occupied automobile and assault with a lethal weapon. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Padilla’s house and located a loaded handgun that’s believed to have been used within the capturing.

CHP didn’t launch a motive for the capturing.
