Alleged fentanyl trafficker from Honduras extradited to San Francisco

(KRON) — An alleged fentanyl trafficker was extradited from Honduras to San Francisco on Thursday after he was charged with a conspiracy to promote fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine within the Bay Space, the US Division of Justice stated.

Gustavo Erazo, 49, is a Honduran nationwide who beforehand lived in Oakland. He was arrested in November 2022 exterior a Berkeley condo with suspected fentanyl, suspected heroin, and suspected cocaine in his backpack.

Contained in the condo, law enforcement officials discovered nearly 21 kilos of suspected medication, together with practically 15 kilos of suspected fentanyl, per the DOJ. Additionally they discovered drug-manufacturing gear, two weapons and money.

Erazo returned to Honduras after being charged in federal courtroom. The U.S. authorities labored with the Honduran authorities to deliver him again to the US.
