(AP) — Athletics president Dave Kaval will resign from the group after being the general public face of the group’s deliberate transfer from Oakland to Las Vegas.

Kaval has been president of the A’s for the previous eight years and can step down from the position on Dec. 31 to pursue new enterprise alternatives in California.

Sandy Dean, a longtime enterprise companion with the Fisher household that owns the group, will function interim president and a search to fill the full-time position will start in 2025.
