SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A system of average to regionally heavy rainfall moved throughout the Bay Space in a single day into Thursday morning. Gentle to average rain was felt in San Francisco and alongside the coast Wednesday night, in line with the Nationwide Climate Service.

An opportunity of rain showers throughout the larger Bay Space will persist Thursday. Nevertheless, extra impactful rainfall is anticipated to fall via Friday night into Saturday, when our heaviest rainfall is anticipated.

The NWS is warning of rises on creeks, rivers and streams, together with ponding of water on roadways and different low-lying areas. Extra rain is anticipated on Monday, in line with KRON4 Meteorologist John Shrable.

“Watch for increased risk of standing water on roads over the weekend as we see an additional system push in on Saturday, followed by what will likely be a third rain maker on Monday,” Shrable mentioned.

Whereas nearly all of Wednesday night time’s rain has now shifted to the Central Coast, the NWS warns that extra rain showers will proceed all through the day Thursday.
