SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Days after Bay FC unveiled renderings for its slick new coaching facility on Treasure Island, the group is dealing with extra troubling allegations concerning its backroom workers. KRON4 has confirmed that the Nationwide Ladies’s Soccer League has ordered an unbiased investigation into Bay FC’s teaching workers.

“The NWSL takes all concerns related to player well-being extremely seriously,” a league spokesperson informed KRON4. “We have established clear and confidential mechanisms for anyone in the NWSL ecosystem to report any concerns. Based on information shared with the league, we are initiating a formal review of the communications between technical staff and the players at Bay FC and will take the appropriate steps necessary based on the findings of that review.”

The investigation follows the information final month that Bay FC’s head of home scouting Graeme Abel had resigned after only one week on the job, following allegations of verbal abuse whereas he was a coach on the College of Oregon.

Information of the most recent investigation was first reported within the San Francisco Chronicle. The Chronicle’s report cites new allegations centered across the group’s head coach Albertin Montoya.
