SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A Bay Space bakery is stirring up buzz with croissants the dimensions of a soccer.
The proprietor of Le Marais Bakery, which has areas in San Francisco and the North Bay, stopped by KRON4’s studio on Wednesday (video above) to indicate off its huge product. Movies of the croissants have gotten as many as 450,000 views on Instagram.
“The inspiration came from a real love,” stated Patrick Ascaso who owns the bakery. “When we were opening the last location in Larkspur Landing, I wanted to bring all my passion of the bakery. It was not the intention of eating them or selling them, it was just to show the beauty of a croissant.”

Whereas Ascaso didn’t intend for the XXL croissants to be offered, when prospects noticed them, they wished one in all their very own.
There are almost 350 grams of butter in Le Marais’ XXL croissant, Ascaso stated. They’re equal to about 10 croissants.
Le Marais has cafes in San Francisco’s Castro District, Decrease Nob Hill space, Ferry Constructing, Larkspur and Mill Valley. Its numerous areas serve different French pastries, espresso and sandwiches.
