(KRON) — A Bay Space dim sum staple is opening on the Serramonte Middle in Daly Metropolis. Koi Palace is about to open within the first quarter of 2026, based on Regency Facilities, the true property firm that owns the mall.

Koi Palace takes over house on the east aspect of the mall that was beforehand occupied by a Moist Seal, Subway and Starbucks, Regency Facilities mentioned. The Starbucks relocated subsequent to the Chick-fil-A.

The dim sum restaurant at present operates in Daly Metropolis at close by 365 Gellert Blvd. Koi Palace will relocate to the mall and depart from the soon-to-be former location, the restaurant mentioned. In line with Palo Alto On-line, the Serramonte restaurant shall be twice the scale with a capability of 760-800 folks.

Koi Palace is about to open subsequent to Jagalchi, which is a Korean grocery store set to open this March. It takes over the house of the longtime JCPenney that closed in 2019.

Identified for its Cantonese dim sum, Koi Palace was based by brothers Willy and Ronny Ng in 1996. Their first restaurant opened in Daly Metropolis, and the restaurant has obtained nominations from the James Beard Basis. Willy was named a semifinalist in each 2020 and 2022 for “Outstanding Restaurateur.”

Koi Palace was additionally a semifinalist for “Outstanding Restaurant” in 2024 and 2018. There are three different Koi Palace areas: Redwood Metropolis, Dublin and Milpitas.

Earlier this month, Koi Palace partnered with multi-brand restaurant idea Native Kitchens. All 13 Native Kitchens areas throughout Northern California now characteristic menu gadgets from the favored dim sum institution.

KRON4 reached out to Koi Palace to independently verify its relocation inside Daly Metropolis. We didn’t hear again in time for publication.
