SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Two Bay Space seniors have been arrested earlier this month after allegedly shoplifting greater than $1,500 of merchandise from a ski store at Palisades Tahoe over the course of three visits, based on the Placer County Sheriff’s Workplace. The 68-year-old ladies face fees of grand theft.

Deputies mentioned the thefts from Parallel Mountain Sports activities, situated in The Village at Palisades Tahoe, occurred on July 22, Aug. 19 and Nov. 25. On every go to, the Olympic Valley retailer’s surveillance cameras captured the 2 ladies concealing merchandise and strolling out, based on the sheriff’s workplace.

On Dec. 2, the suspect’s car was noticed by Placer County deputies touring southbound on Freeway 89. After a site visitors cease, a deputy “immediately recognized the women from the surveillance footage,” based on the sheriff’s workplace.

San Francisco resident Tatyana Zhukovsky and Hillsborough resident Clara Michelson have been arrested and booked into the Auburn Jail for grand theft and conspiracy to commit against the law.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Workplace is asking potential victims of comparable crimes involving the 2 ladies to contact the North Lake Tahoe Investigation Unit at (530)581-6320.
