(KRON) — Late-night drivers going westbound into the Caldecott Tunnel within the East Bay could encounter delays this week. Beginning Monday night time, Caltrans shall be performing upkeep work on the No. 3 bore of the Caldecott Tunnel, the transportation company introduced in a press launch.
The upkeep shall be each night time from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Monday till Wednesday, in response to Caltrans. Solely the No. 3 bore, which is westbound, shall be closed. The remaining westbound bore, together with the 2 eastbound bores, will stay open.

There shall be message indicators that shall be displayed to assist information motorists touring within the space. The closure is so Caltrans can conduct its routine upkeep, the company stated. There are not any reported points with the tunnel, in response to Caltrans’ press launch on Monday.
