CHP arrests Oakland I-580 capturing suspects

(KRON) — Two Oakland suspects accused of a freeway capturing in Oakland final month have been arrested, the California Freeway Patrol introduced Tuesday. In response to the sufferer driver within the incident, he was fired upon after being rear-ended on metropolis streets and following the suspects onto Interstate 580.

Officers responded to the sufferer’s report of the capturing simply after 5 p.m. on Nov. 8, CHP stated. The sufferer informed authorities that the rear-end collision occurred at Fruitvale Avenue and twenty third Avenue at round 12:45 p.m. The sufferer then adopted the suspect car onto westbound I-580. Photographs have been then fired from the suspect car on the sufferer on the freeway close to Park Boulevard.

There have been no accidents in connection to the capturing, and the sufferer’s car was not hit by the gunfire, CHP stated. All lanes of westbound I-580 have been shut down at round 7:30 p.m. to permit authorities to canvas the roadway for proof.

The CHP Golden Gate Division Particular Investigations Unit took over the investigation and used Flock Security cameras within the space to establish the suspect car. The knowledge led CHP to establish the suspects as Kevin Edgar Martinez Hernandez, 25, and Ruben Martinez Hernandez, 22, each of Oakland.

On Dec. 2, detectives situated the suspects and the suspect car on Claremont Avenue close to Grizzly Peak Boulevard, CHP stated. Each suspects have been arrested and booked into Alameda County Jail for tried homicide, assault with a lethal weapon, discharging a firearm at an occupied car, possession of a loaded, registered firearm and conspiracy to commit a criminal offense.

A loaded firearm was situated in the course of the arrest, in response to CHP.
