(KRON) — The Daly Metropolis Police Division is in an ongoing standoff with a girl that started Saturday evening, the regulation enforcement company mentioned in a press launch. Round 6:44 p.m. on Dec. 20, police responded to a report of a bodily home disturbance at a residence on the 300 block of 88th Avenue.

When DCPD arrived on the entrance door, the girl, 45, brandished a big kitchen knife and charged on the officers with the weapon raised above her head, in response to police. With out utilizing drive, police backed away and contained the suspect inside her residence.

DCPD and a SWAT crew labored collectively to safe the neighborhood. Authorities mentioned they’ve negotiated for greater than 16 hours with the girl who’s alone inside and refuses to exit the house.

As of 5 p.m. Sunday, the standoff stays ongoing as police work to “reach a peaceful resolution.” DCPD asks the general public to keep away from the encompassing space.
