El Cerrito sexual battery suspect arrested Tuesday

(KRON) — A 28-year-old man accused of sexual battery towards a sight- and hearing-impaired lady turned himself in on the El Cerrito Police Station over a month after the incident, the police division introduced Tuesday.

The suspect, Hugo Antonio Martinez Ortigoza of Richmond, arrived on the police station accompanied by his lawyer Tuesday afternoon, in line with the El Cerrito Police Division. Martinez Ortigoza, 28, had a warrant out for his arrest for felony sexual battery of a critically disabled topic. Whereas turning himself over to authorities, he didn’t present an announcement to investigators, police stated.

Martinez Ortigoza was beforehand recognized because the suspect concerned within the Nov. 13 sexual battery. There, Martinez Ortigoza allegedly approached the lady from behind and slapped her rear finish earlier than fleeing.

Police discovered the id of the suspect after distributing images to the general public taken by safety cameras of close by companies.
