Emergency restore shuts down lanes on I-680 in Fremont

(KRON) — Caltrans crews are making an emergency restore to a pothole on I-680 in Fremont, the Fremont Police Division mentioned on X.

As of three:30 p.m., just one middle lane on I-680 northbound on the bridge crossing of Mission Boulevard is open to site visitors. All different northbound lanes within the space will reopen round an estimated time of 1 a.m. on Thursday, FPD mentioned.

In line with FPD, there may be at the moment a site visitors jam on the interchanges of Washington Boulevard, Paseo Padre Parkway and most of Mission Boulevard.

“Regional traffic is diverting to Niles Canyon Road and further north via I-880 to I-238 and I-580 in the Hayward area,” FPD continued.

Authorities advise the general public to make use of alternate routes and to anticipate site visitors delays.

The newest site visitors updates will be discovered on Caltrans’ web site.
