In a meaningful tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., over 70 state parks across the Bay Area will welcome visitors with no admission fees on January 15th. This initiative encourages families, nature enthusiasts, and community members to celebrate the civil rights leader’s legacy by exploring the region’s stunning landscapes and historical sites. Parks participating in the program offer a range of activities including guided hikes, educational programs, and special events dedicated to promoting unity and social justice.
