Explosive Discovery: Bomb Squad Safely Clears Dangerous Materials from Nice Hill Home

(KRON) — A bomb squad responded to a Nice Hill residence on Wednesday after an individual reported discovering explosives, based on the Nice Hill Police Division.

Authorities had been referred to as at 1:27 p.m. to a house on the 1700 block of Shirley Drive. An individual notified police that they discovered vintage unexploded navy ordnance inside a field, Nice Hill PD mentioned.

A number of businesses arrived on the scene, together with the Walnut Creek Police Division, Contra Costa Hearth Safety District and the U.S. Air Power Explosive Ordnance Disposal Staff from Travis Air Power Base.

Police mentioned there was no energetic legal investigation concerning the invention.

The bomb squad safely eliminated all explosives from the residence by 6 p.m.
