Matthew Muller, 47, was convicted in 2016 of the Vallejo kidnapping of Denise Huskins, which was featured within the Netflix collection “American Nightmare” in 2024. The case gained widespread consideration after police publicly speculated that the case may have been staged — and have been in the end confirmed unsuitable.
