Hanging union members injured in collision with automotive close to VTA facility

(BCN) — Two transit union members picketing a VTA facility in San Jose on Monday morning have been hospitalized with minor accidents after a collision a automotive, police mentioned. The collision occurred shortly after 9 a.m. within the 3900 block of Zanker Street, in response to San Jose police.

The pair have been a part of a picket by the Amalgamated Transit Union Native 265, which went on strike Monday on account of a contract deadlock. The union represents greater than 1,500 VTA staff, together with bus and light-weight rail operators. Bus and light-weight rail service have been shut down Monday morning, however VTA Paratransit service is continuous common operations.
