Hearth-delayed opening of SF donut store set to happen this week

(KRON) — A donut café is lastly opening in San Francisco’s West Portal neighborhood. The grand opening was speculated to be final September, however a hearth ravaged by way of the neighborhood and broken 5 small companies.

Georges Donuts & Merriment was one among them.

The café, situated at 163 W Portal Ave., is opening on Friday, Jan. 10. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will probably be held that morning with newly elected San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie slated to talk.

Georges Donuts & Merriment serves extra than simply donuts. Menu highlights embrace “Donut Hole Flight,” “Bacon and Eggs Donut,” “Strawberry Champagne Brioche,” “Apple Fritter,” “Churro Dusted Cruller” and a “Tahini Rose Cake Donut.” In addition they serve sandwiches and salads.

Georges Donuts & Merriment is owned by Lea and Andrew Dudum. In September, they stated they have been grateful to the firefighters who saved their dream from burning down.
