(KRON) — Rescue crews saved two folks and 6 canine who had been trapped on an island in San Jose’s Guadalupe River on Thursday, in keeping with the San Jose Fireplace Division.

Firefighters responded at 4:32 p.m. to the river close to Coleman Avenue and Autumn Parkway on the report of individuals trapped on an island. Crews used boats to rescue two adults and 6 canine, 4 of which had been puppies, SJFD stated.

One of many rescued adults was evaluated and warmed up by responders. That individual refused transport to a hospital for additional medical consideration, authorities stated.
