High-Speed Pursuit: Stolen Cement Truck Sparks Wild Police Chase in Vallejo!

(KRON) — A person driving a stolen cement mixer truck led Vallejo police on a chaotic chase Monday.

Vallejo Police Division officers had been alerted to a car theft in progress at a enterprise on Broadway Road, police stated. The person stole the massive cement truck, plowed it by way of the enterprise’ roll-up door, and induced $50,000 value of property damages, police stated.

The reckless driver ran by way of pink lights and drove into oncoming visitors whereas trying to evade regulation enforcement, VPD stated.

After officers cancelled their pursuit because of public security issues, the truck crashed right into a utility police on Alabama Road. Witnesses helped officers discover the fleeing suspect.

“Community members provided critical information, leading officers to a nearby residence. A perimeter was established, and officers conducted a ‘surround and callout.’ Despite the suspect refusing to cooperate, he was taken into custody after a brief struggle,” the police division wrote.

Ex-San Bruno elementary faculty trainer stands trial

The suspected thief had excellent warrants for violating a restraining order and violating his probation phrases. He was booked into Solano County Jail on a number of felony expenses, and the cement truck was returned to the enterprise, police stated.

“Vallejo PD thanks the community members whose quick action and witness statements played a key role in this arrest,” VPD wrote. The arrested man’s title was not launched by police.
