Homeless man charged with arson at lodge close to SFO: PD

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The South San Francisco Police Division stated a 24-year-old homeless man was arrested in reference to an arson at a lodge close to San Francisco Worldwide Airport.

Police stated officers responded to the 200 block of South Airport Boulevard at 10:36 p.m. Wednesday after a caller from a lodge reported “a man intentionally setting a fire on the property.”

Police stated the suspect was arrested within the space, shortly after officers and firefighters arrived. The hearth crew was capable of shortly put out the flames and restrict injury sustained to the property, stated authorities.

The suspect, recognized as Carlos Zurita-Peralta, was booked into San Mateo County Jail for arson and narcotics associated costs.
