How a South Bay sushi spot caught a 'serial dine-and-dasher'

(KRON) — The Campbell Police Division arrested a “serial dine-and-dasher” within the South Bay on Sunday, in line with Randy Musterer, who’s the CEO of Sushi Confidential in San Jose and Campbell. Musterer mentioned the person had stolen a complete of virtually $1,000 from each of his eating places.

Restaurant staff got a photograph of the suspect in case he returned, and staff on the Campbell location noticed him Sunday evening donning a hat and hoodie.

Staff handed him his examine as quickly as they served his meals, Musterer mentioned. The suspect requested the place the toilet was and tried to sneak out the again.

A busser was ready on the again exit, and the suspect noticed him and walked again via the restaurant to the entrance. He left and jogged to his automobile, video posted by Musterer reveals.

Musterer watched the state of affairs unfold on safety cameras and known as the Campbell Police Division.

Musterer mentioned he drove round city and finally noticed the suspect close to Coach’s Sports activities Bar and Grill, situated at 2240 S. Winchester Blvd. in Campbell. CPD responded and arrested him.

The suspect had an open arrest warrant, in line with Musterer.

“One less thief on the streets—and hopefully, one less restaurant dealing with his scams,” Musterer mentioned.

KRON4 reached out to the Campbell Police Division for affirmation and didn’t obtain a response in time for publication.
