Man Caught Hoarding Stolen Bikes Faces Charges in San Francisco

(KRON) – The San Francisco District Legal professional’s workplace introduced the fees of Joseph Zachary Negapatan, 25, for knowingly promoting stolen bicycles, frames and elements for revenue. On Wednesday, he was arraigned and pleaded not responsible.

In line with the San Francisco Police Division, officers responded to a residential housebreaking within the Richmond District on January 2, 2025. An investigation decided that an unknown suspect had gained entry to the house and stole over $25,000 in bicycles from the sufferer.

Every week and a half later, the sufferer notified police that they noticed what was believed to be their property on the market in an internet market. Investigators recognized Negapatan as a doable suspect by means of market listings, serving a search warrant to his property. When SF law enforcement officials entered the premises of Negapatan’s residence, officers found the sufferer’s stolen bikes together with different suspected stolen bicycles and elements, in keeping with the SF District Legal professional.

When asserting the fees, District Legal professional Brooke Jenkins said, “We must work to shut down the markets that continue to sell stolen goods from our city.” Through the trial course of, the courts ordered Negapatan to remain 150 yards away from the Laney School Flea Market in Oakland. Authorities can search him and his residence, car, or telephone and not using a warrant.

Negapatan is charged with one depend of receiving stolen property.
