Man dies after being trapped beneath particles on Watsonville seaside

(KRON) — A person is lifeless after a big wave trapped him beneath particles on a Watsonville seaside Monday morning, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Workplace stated.

First responders had been referred to as to Sundown State Seashore at about 11:30 a.m. for the trapped man. He died at a hospital. His identification has not but been launched.

The demise is believed to be as a result of massive storm slamming the realm on Monday.

In close by Santa Cruz, the town’s wharf collapsed from the extreme storm. Three individuals landed within the water, they usually had been all rescued, handled and launched.

About 150 toes of the pier collapsed, together with a restroom constructing. Capitola Village has been informed to evacuate as a result of 26-foot waves and flooding.
