Man killed in North Oakland taking pictures Tuesday night time

(KRON) — East Bay authorities are investigating a murder after a person was shot and killed in North Oakland on Tuesday.

The Oakland Police Division responded at 9:45 p.m. to the 600 block of 61st Avenue after a number of ShotSpotter activations. Arriving officers discovered a person affected by a gunshot wound or wounds.

The person, who police stated was an Oakland resident, was rushed to an area hospital, the place he was pronounced deceased. His id was withheld pending notification of subsequent of kin.

OPD’s Murder Division is investigating the circumstances surrounding the taking pictures, in accordance with authorities.
