Massive Police Raid at ‘Zombie Park’ Leads to Nearly 90 Arrests!

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Police Division introduced it had made dozens of arrests and seized over a pound of narcotics in a raid of Jefferson Sq. Park within the metropolis’s Western Addition Wednesday night time. The raid, of what some neighbors have branded a “Zombie Park” got here in response to neighborhood complaints of felony and drug-related exercise within the park, SFPD stated.

In all, almost 90 arrests had been made and over 1.21 kilos of narcotics had been seized throughout the raid, SFPD stated. Police coordinated the operation with a number of metropolis companies and different legislation enforcement companions.

“Drug-related activity will never be tolerated in Jefferson Square or any other part of the city,” SFPD Chief Invoice Scott stated. “Our officers will be out in force conducting operations just like these all over the city. I want to thank our sfpd-officers-abused-extra-time-insurance-policies-in-line-with-audit/” title=”… … abused extra time insurance policies, in line with audit”>hard-working officers and all the partner agencies that assisted in this effort.”

Along with SFPD, different companies concerned within the raid embody the San Francisco Sheriff’s Workplace, Drug Enforcement Administration, Nationwide Guard, San Francisco Rec and Park Rangers, Division of Public Works, San Francisco Fireplace Division, and Animal Care and Management (ACC).
