(KRON) — Three misplaced hikers, together with two younger youngsters, have been rescued within the Santa Cruz Mountains late Sunday night time, in accordance with the CHP Golden Gate Division Air Operations.
The California Freeway Patrol’s H-30 helicopter assisted California State Parks and Cal Fireplace crews in finding the misplaced hikers within the space of Large Basin Redwood State Park.
“It was reported the children were beginning to suffer from hypothermia,” CHP Air Ops mentioned in a social media publish.

The helicopter crew discovered the hikers on a distant path, CHP mentioned. After the H-30 landed close by, the hikers have been loaded and transported to an awaiting American Medical Response ambulance.
