(KRON) — President Donald Trump took to Fact Social Friday to slam paper straws and promise to go “BACK TO PLASTIC,” in his most popular all-caps methodology of speaking on social media. The president stated he can be signing an govt order subsequent week “ending the ridiculous Biden push for Paper Straws, which don’t work.”
The social publish drew quick reward from Trump’s unelected “first buddy,” Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

“Greatest President ever!” tweeted Musk on X, the social media platform he owns that was previously often called Twitter.

This isn’t the primary time paper straws have drawn President Trump’s ire. In 2019, he offered Trump-branded pink straws on his official marketing campaign web site, branding them as a substitute for “liberal” paper straws.
The straws, which had been marketed as recyclable, had been branded with the message that “Liberal paper straws don’t work. STAND WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP and buy your pack of recyclable red straws today.”
This raised eyebrows with environmental teams on the time, with some noting that almost all plastic straws cannot simply be recycled.
